    Job Title: Band 6 Nurse at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust

    We are looking for dedicated Band 6 Nurses to be part of our dynamic Nurse in Charge Team in Walsall Healthcare's Emergency Department. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals in Emergency Care who are eager to broaden their expertise.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Joining a Nursing Team that meets national quality care standards.
    • Contributing to the continuous improvement of care quality standards through investment in people and patients.
    • Utilizing excellent communication and leadership skills to lead a team in a fast-paced Emergency Department.
    • Participating in various learning opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
    • Working collaboratively in a Multi-Disciplinary Team to support audits and service developments.

    Person Specification:

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • First Level RN
    • ENB 998/Mentorship qualification or equivalent
    • ENB 199/Post registration qualification in Emergency Nurse practitioner or equivalent
    • ALS or EPLS or TNCC

    EXPERIENCE

    • Experience in emergency care within A/E setting.
    • Post registration experience in an Emergency department or similar environment.
    • Clinical skills to support care delivery in ED.

    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

    • Nursing skills including phlebotomy, IVI drug administration, suturing, and more.
    • ECG interpretation skills.
    • Effective communication skills.
    • Proficiency in IM & T systems.
    • Organizational abilities in managing workload and patient flows.

    OTHER

    • Flexibility and adaptability to varying work patterns.
    • Leadership and delegation skills.
    • Collaborative teamwork capabilities.
    • Capability to work under pressure and handle emotional situations with integrity.
