Inverness (on the new Inverness Campus) and a recently opened office in central Edinburgh, where this role will be based.
Following a successful seven figure investment round, we are now looking to grow our team.The Company haswon several awards since its incorporation, including Excellence in Research & Development from the Scottish Council for Development and Industry (SCDI) and Scotland's largest entrepreneurial competition, Scottish EDGE.
We have raised over £3.2m of fundingto date, including from the Business Growth Fund and Boeing Horizon X Global Ventures.
The Role
The Role of Part - Time Finance Manager is a newly created role reporting directly to the COO.
The role will ultimately be responsible for the day-to-day running of the finance function, including all core monthly and annual reporting and to the developmentof monthly KPIs, policies, procedures and controls.
This is a key role in the company. You will need to be flexible and enjoy working in a fast-moving environment as the business continues to grow.The role will have primary responsibility for the following:
- Reporting of actuals on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Management of forecasting cash requirements including understanding of business drivers of cash generation
- Quarterly updating the forecast
- Development of monthly KPIs
- Review of existing controls, adding new controls as necessary
- Delivery of finance policies including understanding results and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Monthly reporting for external stakeholders
- Liaising with external audit
- Liaising with external tax firm to produce accurate Corp Tax computations
- Compliance Reporting
- VAT returns and HMRC submissions
- Statutory Accounting
Person Specification
- Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA OR CIMA)
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a SME setting
- Experience delivering robust management accounting and financial reporting
- Ability to engage and deliver value added financial information to nonfinance professionals
- Comfortable being both hands on and strategic with the ability to multitask and prioritise
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office skills and will have meticulous attention to detail
- Be highly motivated with a proactive approach to tasks.

This Finance Manager role is offered on a?part-time, permanent basis with a competitive salary of £50-60k FTE and benefits package.?The role offers flexible, hybrid working from their office in Edinburgh City Centre.
