- Represent the company in contract negotiations and policy formulation with suppliers, in alignment with Senior Management directives.
- Assess and recommend supplier selections for new business ventures.
- Conduct sourcing, evaluation, and negotiation to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Lead initiatives for material cost reduction within the department.
- Generate reports on cost reduction and variances.
- Enforce purchasing and contract management procedures and policies.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to grasp their purchasing needs.
- Assist in procurement for new projects and ensure timely delivery.
- Manage supplier relationships and performance evaluations.
- Focus on minimizing inventory levels for efficiency.
- Maintain communication across different departments to align with company objectives.
- Travel to suppliers as necessary, potentially internationally.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory standards, such as ISO 13485 and ROHS.
- Supervise the Purchasing team and serve as the escalation point for staff.
- C.I.P.S qualification or related degree
- Prior experience in purchasing within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven expertise in cost reduction strategies.
- Familiarity with commodity and supply chain strategies.
- Experience in team management and negotiations.
- Knowledge of Material Planning Systems and strong IT skills, particularly in ERP systems.
- Effective leadership, analytical, and organizational capabilities.
