Description

Do you have experience of working with challenging young people, and want to help make a difference?
Freedom Foundation are recruiting mentors to facilitate our alternative provision programme across the East Midlands.

Opportunities are available throughout term-time and school holidays with pay ranging from
£10 per hour for Assistant Facilitators/Mentors and up to
£25 per hour for Lead Facilitators/Mentors.

Freedom Foundation uses singing, song writing and dance to educate children about the importance of mental health and wellbeing.

Our programmes help children to improve their self-esteem, build resilience and confidence to recognise the impact social media has on their mental health.

We want to recruit individuals to our team who are passionate about using the creative arts to work with young people.

We are looking for experienced mentors with backgrounds in spoken word, poetry, song writing, singing, rapping and music to join our team to engage and inspire children and young people who are in alternative provision settings and may struggle with challenging behaviour, mental health issues, and are at risk.

Full training will be given on delivery of the sessions, but you will need creative experience and be able to engage young people.

The programme is delivered
in - 4 hour sessions and will have a lead (experienced) facilitator and an assistant facilitator.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a programme which aims to enabled children to learn new skills and wellbeing tools, and receive mentoring to give young people the tools to make the right choices, find their right path and explore their creativity.

We encourage individuals with lived experiences to apply.
