Main duties of the job:
Our department is looking for a new Team Leader for Kidney Care Centres to join the team.
This role requires supervision of the Renal network service across the Dialysis units/Kidney care centres (cross site working as and when required).
Our satellite locations are:
Tottenham Hale and St Pancras Kidney & Diabetes Centre, Edgware and Barnet Dialysis units. The base site for this position will be Tottenham Hale Kidney And Diabetes Centre and Barnet Dialysis Unit
If you are energetic, methodical, computer literate, proactive, able to cope with new challenging priorities and desirably with some NHS and staff management experiences then we would like to hear from you.
Availability :
to work in the dialysis unit - 37.5hrs/week 9-5 Cross site to all our 4 units

- Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust Values
Education & professional Qualifications:
Essential criteria:
- Educated to A levels or equivalent
- Evidence of continuing education and development
Experience:
Essential criteria:
- Extensive clerical and IT experience in a role working with the public, preferably in the NHS or similar
- Experience of handling or distressing and/or volatile situations
- Experience of prioritising workload
- Experience of working in a pressured environment
- Experience of working with multiprofessional team
Desirable criteria:
- Experience of supervising, training or linemanaging staff
Skills and aptitudes:
Essential criteria:
- Good written and verbal communication skills (excellent telephone manner)
- Good customer care skills
- Good organisational skills, with attention to detail Computer skills
- MS Office packages(Excel, Word & PowerPoint) and hospital administration system such as Cerner/PAS
- Effective interpersonal skills with ability to confidently liaise and negotiate with people/staff at all levels
- Knowledge of patient confidentiality and the Data Protection Act
Desirable criteria:
- Experience of staff management or supervision
