JOB PURPOSE The postholder will provide clinical support to the childrens physiotherapy team, assisting with treatment, providing therapy under the direction of the Physiotherapist and preparing treatments.

The role includes responsibility for housekeeping and administrative duties. Tasks are directed by a physiotherapist however flexibility and good communication skills will ensure effective team working. To undertake specific skilled support work to aid the rehabilitation of patients.

To accept patients referred by a physiotherapist and carry own patient caseload with responsibility for planning and organising these treatment sessions.

Treat non-complex patients according to set protocols and monitor patient progression. Work both supervised and unsupervised regularly reporting back patient progress and informing the referring practitioner of any non-routine problems/enquiries.

JOB DIMENSIONS The jobholder will work within and an inpatient and outpatient setting.
