Do you have previous experience in a heavy industry or manufacturing environment? We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our team based in Liverpool and help us keep the world moving

    Your Role

You will manage and mitigate risks that could adversely affect plant operations, developing bespoke engineering solutions using statistical analysis for repetitive failures. You will support each department in continuous improvement processes, using your statistical analysis to highlight top losses, then leading the problem solving process to engineer out these losses. You will also drive and support the RCA process in each area, ensuring major failures are root caused and permanent fixes are put in place. You will support each department in completing and maintaining Reliability Centred Maintenance studies, ensuring each area knows what their critical assets are and what their failure modes are, helping shape their maintenance strategies to manage risks.

You will engage with Technicians and Contractors to carry out maintenance tasks on plant equipment, both reactive and planned, and provide technical support and expertise to both operations and engineering across Mersey Engineering. You will ensure KPIs are aligned to relevant objectives and they are reviewed regularly to track progress and relevant action plans are developed to mitigate operational issues.

You will ensure compliance with company rules and any statutory legislation applicable to the job role, with particular regard to the Company's obligations under PUWER, PSSR, LOLER and DSEAR.

    What you'll bring

You will have experience in heavy industry or a manufacturing environment, with an understanding of DSEAR, PUWER, COSHH. You will have experience in producing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and other problem solving techniques. You will ideally have an understanding of reliability centred maintenance techniques (criticality/FMEA).

You will ideally be qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in either Electrical, Mechanical or Process Engineering, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
