Title:

Team Leader - Support

Reporting to:
Head of Wellbeing Services**
Salary:£24,000 - £25,500 per annum (dependent on experience) pro-rata**
Permanent Contract: Part-time: 28 hours per week

Hours:

Flexibility required to work shifts between**:

9am - 9pm Monday to Friday

10am - 5pm Saturday and Sunday

Annual Leave:32 days per annum (inclusive of Public Holidays)**
Pension: 7% employer and 3% employee contribution

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily responsibility of team management including absence management, appraisals, one to ones, training, coaching and development.
  • Provide tailored support to patients and families visiting the Wellbeing Centre using a personalised and individual approach.
  • Develop close relationships with clinical teams to ensure appropriate and relevant communication between the Wellbeing centre and wider hospital teams.
  • Ensure appointment booking and scheduling system maximises service provision and ensures the widest reach across patient groups and geographies.
  • Work with Team Leaders to manage staffing levels and resources ensuring all services are delivered effectively and to an exceptional standard of quality.
  • Work flexibly with team colleagues to ensure patients, visitors and family receive the best possible care across all of the Wellbeing Services.
  • To arrange training and supervision for all support staff.
  • To assist with recruitment and induction of Wellbeing Services staff.
  • To provide cover for Team Leaders and deputise for the Head of Wellbeing Services when required.
  • Support the Head of Wellbeing Services with the development and implementation of a Patient and Family Services strategy.
  • Provide monthly management reports to the Head of Wellbeing Services to inform and enhance service provision and future planning.
  • Plan, implement and report on patient feedback and outcome measures in line with Care Services strategy.
  • A minimum of 3 years line management experience.
  • Experience of supervision, teaching and coaching.
  • Experience of management reporting and capacity planning.
  • Experience of planning and scheduling wellbeing activities and interventions.
  • Experience of using enhanced communication skills to recognise and acknowledge significant conversations.
  • Experience working in a diverse and multiskilled team.
  • Computer literate with Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
  • Formal qualification in a healthcare or social care profession, counselling or therapeutic approach e.g., NHC or SVQ
  • Introduction to Management training.
  • Qualification or recognised training in supervision skills or coaching.
  • Formal communication training e.g., Sage & Thyme.
  • Experience of working with patients with active, progressive and advanced medical conditions.
  • Experience of delivering wellbeing activities and interventions.
  • A clean and current driving licence.
