    Data Engineer / Architect (GCP) Google Cloud Platform | Fully Remote | £55,000

    Position Overview: We are seeking a talented Data Engineer / Architect with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our team. This position is fully remote, with the option to work from offices based in Cardiff, United Kingdom.

    As a Data Engineer / Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing data solutions that drive business value for our clients. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, architect scalable data solutions, and ensure the successful delivery of projects.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Architect end-to-end data solutions on Google Cloud Platform, including data ingestion, storage, processing, and analytics.
    • Assist in designing and implementing cloud-native data lakes, data pipelines, and data visualisation solutions on GCP and eventually AWS.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define data architectures, and develop technical specifications.
    • Provide guidance and best practices for data governance, security, and compliance on GCP.
    • Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in data architecture and GCP services, and advocate for their adoption as appropriate.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of 2/3 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related field.
    • Experience with GCP, including serverless technologies, AWS is a plus.
    • Familiarity with data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake.
    • Knowledge of tools such as Talend and Stitch is a bonus.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
