    Job Description

    EM Productions is looking for an enthusiastic and talented Junior Editor to join our growing team.

    We are an independent documentary production house based in Victoria, London. Our content ranges from current events, biographies, true crime, music, sports and more.

    As a Junior Editor you will be assigned a project and agree on the direction and timeframe with the Producer. From there you will conduct your research, shoot talking heads, write a script and gather assets from archives. When you have created your edit you'll receive feedback from the Senior Editor and Producer and then make the necessary changes before finalising the show.

    For the most-part, our shows release on VOD platforms such as AppleTV, PrimeVideo, GooglePlay, PLUTO, Tubi etc. Our shows also go to traditional broadcast internationally.

    This is a great opportunity for someone who is self-motivated and passionate about film. Someone who is prepared to learn, work efficiently and experiment to create great quality content.

    Responsibilities:

    • Video Editing in Premiere Pro (knowledge of After Effects is beneficial)
    • Organising expansive content bins
    • Scriptwriting for voiceover
    • Camera operation (ideally Blackmagic 4K/6K)
    • Meeting pitch requirements
    • Working efficiently and to a high standard whilst working within tight deadlines as part of a fast paced environment.

    You will be working as part of a 20 person tight-knit and fast paced team to produce documentaries.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro
    • Strong knowledge of Mac OS
    • Understanding of video codecs and frame rates.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues
    • Time management
    • Problem solving
    • Creative and passionate about documentary filmmaking
    • An interest in the content
    • Able to collaborate within the team and be open to constructive feedback

    Salary: From £24,000.00 per year

    An ideal candidate will be willing to learn and grow within the team.
