    SPG are currently hiring a Business Development Manage/Head of BD to help our client set up a internal Sales Function. They are at a really pivotal point in our growth, and we understand that investing into a successful independent sale team will really allow us to take that next step.

    If you are a BDM that is hungry to succeed and want to do it in an organisation that already has amazing traction within the market with some really big brands then this opportunity could be ideal for your next step. Given the wide range of services our client offers provide multiple answers to problems, candidates need to be able to engage in the wider discussion around Drivers and Blockers for our customers in 3 key areas: Cloud, Cyber & Transformation which is why we are looking for previous sales experience across any or all of these three areas in IT.

    Role: Business Development Manager/Head of BD

    Salary/Rate: up to £50k (OTE £100k per annum)

    Location: Leeds

    Essential Skills:

    • Previous Business Development experience of working in Transformation or Cloud organisations.
    • Previous experience to pull the tread and uncover problems or opportunities around the tech transformation / cloud migration space with potential clients.
    • Experience of working with clients in varying sectors: Financial Services, Telecommunications, Public Sector, Healthcare, Higher Education, Consumer Goods etc.
    • Proven experience of rolling their sleeves up and getting hands on in all aspects of the sales cycle.
    • Experience of successfully working in a land & expand strategy, with a proven ability to win clients and grow the accounts.

    Day to day:

    • This BDM will have the ability to stand on their own two feet, add value and be able to advise on the overall sales function.
    • Working alongside marketing on inbound and outbound campaigns.
    • Working through a lead generation tool and working to gather more data.
    • Networking with their own contacts to generate.
    • Will not be required to manage the Business Development Executive

    Project Details:

    For the last 5.5 years our client have built their business by way of referrals of the back of the good work they have done. They work with multiple partners and have partner status with several vendors such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Broadcom etc. They need to bring in a BDM / Head of BD to be able to bring in the sales expertise into the business and really give some structure and process to their sales function as part of their new commercial team.

    This Head of BDM will really pave the way of the sales function within the business and advise the business on what approach they should be taking. This is an opportunity for someone to really put a bit of of their identity into the business and really make an impact.

    Interview Process & Dates:

    • 2 stages - MS Teams and then a face to face presentation.
