Description
The Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) champions the power of planning in creating prosperous places and vibrant communities. We represent over 27,000 members worldwide, supporting them throughout their careers.

We shape planning policy, raise professional standards and are the only body in the UK to confer Chartered status to planners, the highest professional qualification.

Planning in England is going through a period of flux, with the government likely to bring forward a raft of changes that could have huge repercussions for how the nation responds to some of its biggest challenges.

These include economic growth, climate change, building healthy environments, delivering the homes and infrastructure, and properly engaging communities.

For the RTPI's policy team, there is important work to be done in analysing, responding to, and influencing, this new policy.

And proactively making the case for the art and science of town planning has never been more important.

The new Policy & Practice Advisor will play a vital role in this team._ _They will provide key input into the RTPI's policy agenda, help to identify and disseminate good practice, and support RTPI networks.

This will require the ability to effectively analyse public policy issues, work as part of a team, and communicate effectively orally, via writing, and when using IT.

RTPI has a positive, supportive and inclusive work environment which actively operates a policy of helping its employees at all levels to achieve professional growth.

We seek to foster a collaborative and respectful work environment which promotes equity, diversity and inclusion.
