Production Supervisor Sheffield S13

Our Client based in S13 is currently seeking a Production Supervisor for their operation


Job/Role Description:

-
Personnel
Management - providing training, supervision, team support, delegation of day to day work and other related work to team members., conduct performance appraisals,
-
Checks and Spot Inspections - regular checks, spot audits and inspection of raw materials in, finished products prior to despatch, stock items, consumables, etc

Process Improvements - take the lead in identifying opportunities for improving yield, productivity and efficiency and implementing measures to reduce waste.


Person Specification:


This post is suited to someone with great work ethic, positive attitude, a good leader of teams, affable nature, adaptable and flexible, is resilient (to handle both physically demanding work and strong characters), and someone who is intellectually nimble and willing to learn new skills, take on responsibility for good quality work and on time delivery.

A background in Electrical and Electronic manufacturing would be advantageous.


Ideally will have supervisory experience with a team of people and the required leadership skills to run a successful team.

You must possess an understanding of an operational manufacturing environment and associated functions

Have experience of production planning

High level of verbal and written communication.

High level of attention to detail including high level of numeracy, literacy and IT skills is important.

Have a professional and positive ('can do') attitude.

Taking the initiative.


High work ethic including good rate of work output and being able to put in extra hours during the week or weekend if required to meet job requirements.

Ability to lead and motivate a team.


Be a good team player as well as a leader who is firm but fair, and consistent, supporting their team whilst ensuring business objectives and customer requirements are met or even exceeded.


Working Hours:

37.5 hours / week

Working hours are Days Mon-Friday and 8am-4.30pm.


Flexibility on work times will be expected, as some days the company may wish to operate different start and finish times to suit business needs.

A full clean driving licence is essential for this role.
