Management Accountant

Widford, Hertfordshire

£35,000 to £40,000 per annum

Our client, a successful and growing fashion brand and retailer, are looking for a
MANAGMENT ACCOUNTANTto join the team.

This role will be a new position within the Finance team, and ideally you will bring
retail or fashion experience with you.

We are looking for a motivated person who is passionate about working for an emerging company with the feel of a start up.

You will be able to get involved in many aspects of the operation as you will need to liaise with all the department and people inthe business.

On a day to day basis the Management Accountant will be:

Assisting with the preparation monthly management accounts
Preparing balance sheets reconciliation
Complete quarterly VAT returns
Raising sales invoices and debt collection
Assist with the preparation of cashflow
Contribute to the delivery of year end financial statements and corporation tax process
Prepare departmental reporting and variance analysis partnering with teams across the business to understand costs and performance and drive collective insight
Involvement in projects aimed at driving growth and improving processes
Supporting the Financial Controller
Support & Cover for the Assistant Accountant

We are looking with a Management Accountant who has:

ACA / ACCA or equivalent, qualified or part qualified
Excellent communication and team working skills
Start up mindset and works well in small teams
Experience using an accounts software would be desirable, currently use Xero
Intermediate Excel
