Solotech are looking to hire a Transport Coordinator, the applicant will be based in our Birmingham warehouse supporting with the logistics, preparation, maintenance and delivery of audio systems for Solotech busy hire department.

Your day will look like this:


  • Manage Equipment Movements across the UK
  • Manage schedules and allocation of vehicles and drivers
  • Managing External Transport booking and allocation
  • Dealing with legal compliance, tachograph rules and drivers' infringements.
  • Ensuring transport operations meet all relevant transport and health and safety legislation.
  • Ensuring all aspects of fleet maintenance and scheduling are being met.
  • Promote strong working relationships with current and new suppliers and assist in the negotiation of haulage rates and contracts.
  • Continue to manage and improve the processes used in the everyday running of the Transport team.
  • Manage and develop the Transport team.

Role Requirements

  • Previous Experience within a Transport Coordination role
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Must be confident on Phone / Teams with all levels of management.
  • Possess excellent attention to detail with the ability to work accurately and timely.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with a positive attitude to flexible working.
  • Computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Minimum 5 GCSE's A-C including Maths and English or equivalent.
