North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust (NWAS) is committed to creating opportunities for our staff, patients and the public to participate in high quality research.

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated Research Support Officer to join the Research & Development team to take an active role in undertaking research capacity and capability assessments, help co-ordinate the set-up and support the delivery of research and service evaluation projects at the Trust in line with relevant policies and procedures.

The post holder will help develop, implement and maintain systems to monitor research throughout the study lifecycle to ensure that the standards set out in the UK Policy Framework for Health and Social Care Research are upheld.

You will be responsible for providing research governance advice and guidance to internal and external investigators and coordinating the timely review, registration and monitoring of research and service evaluation projects hosted by the organisation.

You will also provide administrative support to the Research & Development team.
