    Job Title: Head of Bioinformatics Analytics

    Location: Flexible (Remote/On-site)

    Salary: £90,000 per annum

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join us as the Head of Bioinformatics Analytics.

    In this role, you will lead our bioinformatics analytics team, overseeing the strategic direction, development, and execution of bioinformatics initiatives to support our research and development efforts.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Lead and mentor a team of bioinformatics analysts, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

    Develop and implement strategic plans for bioinformatics analytics, aligning with company objectives and research priorities.

    Drive the design and implementation of robust bioinformatics pipelines and tools for the analysis of genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic data.

    Collaborate cross-functionally with researchers, computational biologists, and software engineers to integrate bioinformatics solutions into our research workflows.

    Stay abreast of the latest advancements in bioinformatics methodologies, tools, and technologies, and evaluate their potential impact on our research programs.

    Provide expertise and guidance on experimental design, data interpretation, and statistical analysis of high-dimensional biological datasets.

    Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices for data management, privacy, and security.

    Qualifications:

    PhD or equivalent degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, biostatistics, or a related field.

    Proven track record of leadership in bioinformatics, with at least X years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role.

    Expertise in the analysis of genomic, transcriptomic, and/or proteomic data, with proficiency in relevant bioinformatics tools and software packages.

    Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Perl, and experience with high-performance computing environments.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

    Demonstrated ability to translate complex biological questions into actionable bioinformatics solutions, driving scientific discovery and innovation.

    Experience working in a biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or academic research environment is preferred.
