Description

A cloud native software as a service firm are on the lookout for a senior automation tester to join their team on a permanent basis to support the growth of their software suite and international client base.

The senior automation tester will be joininga well-established Agile development function to take a senior role in their shift left to Test Driven Development, working with development and testing teams on both existing software products as well as greenfield projects.


The senior automation tester will work with the senior testing team to lead the design, development and implementation of automation testing frameworks and systems to support the company's shift-left to TDD and BDD practices, ensuring that quality is builtin to their product suite from the ground up.


This position supports hybrid working, with the ideal applicant comfortable working in the London or Leicestershire office around once per week, with flexibility to work remotely around that.


Some of the senior automation tester's core responsibilities would be:

  • Working with the senior testing team to create test plans for existing and greenfield software products
  • Developing test automation for the full product suite, including C#.Net Core backend, Rest APIs, and JavaScript/React frontend
  • Play a key role in the integration of test automation into the full SDLC, including CI/CD pipeline integration/development
  • Support the implementation of best practices as senior technical team member, supporting upskilling amongst development and testing teams to maintain those standards

Required Experience:


  • A proven background in senior handson testing positions
  • Strong experience developing test automation, ideally for a mixture of backend, UI and API testing
  • Selenium, Cypress, Postman etc.
  • Experience implementing or working in line with TDD and BDD environments
  • A background developing test automation for Agile software development teams

Experience with the following would be advantageous:

  • CI/CD pipeline integration and development
  • AWS or Azure cloud environments
  • Test architecture and other technical lead responsibilities
