A local client is looking for a professional and focused individual to join their busy team as an Accounts Manager.

Working in a fast-paced business you will be working on all general accounting duties, payroll, pensions and bank reconciliations.

Working hours will consist of 08:00-17:00 Monday to Friday. Offering £35,000 per hour.


Duties of the role:

  • Allocate payments and reconcile supplier accounts.
  • File CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) and VAT Returns.
  • Provide accounts reports.
  • Process payroll requirements including new starter and leavers, entering timesheet hours and creating and posting payroll journals.
  • Maintain updated information on the Employment Payment Summary.
  • Run and file pension reports alongside updating the pension portal and making required payments.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, a factoring account and a credit card account for the company.
  • Make online/card payments and pay staff expenses.
  • Chase receipts, invoices and PO numbers.
  • Create and upload Lloyds Schedule, draw down funds and process month ends.

You must:

  • Hold previous experience in a similar role, having worked with CIS, Xero and Sage.
  • Ideally have an AAT Level 2 or 3 Qualification.
  • Show excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Be able to work efficiently both independently and with colleagues.
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
  • Have a full UK Drivers Licence and access to your own transport due to the location.
