    We have an exciting opportunity for a Patient Account Administrator to join The London Clinic, based at our main hospital site in London (W1G 6BW). We are offering a competitive inclusive salary starting at £30,000 per annum.

    Established in 1932, The London Clinic is one of the UK's largest private hospitals, with 8 state-of-the-art facilities, and circa 1350 employees where we are dedicated to providing our patients with expert, individualised treatment and care. Our main hospital spans 8 floors comprising of 150+ patient beds and 10 operating theatres, including a Hybrid theatre and two minimally invasive/day surgery theatres. Speciality areas include, General surgery; ENT; Gynaecology; Hepatobiliary; Neuro-spinal; Ophthalmic; Orthopaedic; Plastic and reconstructive; Robotic; Urology; Vascular & Weight loss surgery (bariatric surgery).

    Job Profile

    As a Patient Account Administrator, you will manage a range of duties relating to billing within the Billing and Accounts Receivable team whilst engaging with, supporting and partnering with Private Medical Insurers. Manage a portfolio of accounts in order to ensure timely and accurate billing is met. You will seek to maintain and strengthen relationships with internal customers, as well as external customers and provide support to the Assistant Billing Systems Manager, and provide reports where necessary in line with Billing requirements

    • Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week.
    • Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday with core hours being 9am – 5.30pm.
    • Job Location: Park Square West, London, NW1 4LJ (Close to Regents Park/Baker St tube stations).
    • Salary: The attractive inclusive salary for this role is starting at £30,000 per annum.

    Key Duties

    • Validate and finalise billing from an Unbilled daily report, focusing on Main Insurers and Self Pay.
    • Assist in covering the Billing team mailbox and actioning appropriate responses.
    • Liaise with clinical departments to ensure all queries are resolved and billing can be completed on a timely basis. Close collaboration in order to help facilitate process improvements.
    • Complete Patient invoicing with via EDI or manual systems.
    • Respond to internal and external queries via telephone

    Skills & Experience

    • Experience in the health care sector/medical insurance desirable
    • Advanced excel skills and general IT skills
    • Strong Customer Service skills
    • Strong administration skills
    • Ability to manage large volume workloads
    • Great telephone etiquette
