About the Design Director:

You'd be joining the Creator dept - a mixed team of hybrid social-first design and video makers, thinkers and platform experts.

We're on the hunt for a socially savvy designer that lives and breathes great design and social thinking.

Someone who understands how people consume content – what they want to see and how they want a brand toshow up in their feed.

A hybrid that blends best in class design with wicked motion skills to breathe life into work, helping elevate a brands presence on social.

A strong knowledge of the formats, media, trends and understanding of social design is key to make the most of every opportunity.

We are looking for someone to elevate the output of our work – from GIFS to long-form documentary..

Someone to take a good idea and make it truly great.

To lead the social design language for some of the world's biggest brands.

And to educate and inspire not only the team you work in, but the wider agency as well.

Key Responsibilities:

• Works with the whole Creator team, helping to bring Campaign, Collaboration and Content Campaigns to life.
• Manages, mentors and inspires the Design team by ensuring that they have the necessary skills and support to produce best-in-class work for SocialChain's clients.
• Ensures that the client's creative visual output is consistent with the overall brand, strategy and vision.
• Takes ownership of the quality, creativity and delivery of projects being overseen.
• Collaborates with the Projects, Campaign, and Client Services team to create work which reflects SocialChain's vision for creative excellence.
• Implements traditional animation principles into creative content and comes up with new, overarching concepts to guide motion graphics.

Requirements:

• 7+ years' work experience within a Design role.
• Experience in leading and building a team.
• Experience working on branded content, with the ability to ability to adapt to work with and build established brand guidelines.
• A strong portfolio which demonstrates creative and conceptual design thinking and execution.
• Excellent knowledge of using Adobe products, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and Premier
• Experience in using using additional software such as Cinema 4D, Red Giant, or any 3D software are a bonus.
• The ability to understand, analyse and respond to client briefs.
• A proactive passion for current design trends and developments within the industry.
• Strong attention to detail on design layout, logo development, editorial design, and typography.
• A great understanding of social platforms – particularly TikTok, Instagram and Twitter.
• Experienced across design, motion, and video - primarily Design.
