    The landscape of Global Mobility is evolving at Computacenter, we are a growing international business with new locations/acquisitions, global customers seeking top talent and services across multiple geographies, have a workforce who seek to collaborate across borders and employees who wish to relocate for personal reasons. To support these developing business needs, we will grow our Global Mobility capabilities and hire an additional dedicated role to support our Global Mobility Manager meet these growing demands.

    As a Global Mobility Consultant, you'll be responsible for coordinating the global mobility programs and assignments within our organization and to clients. Your primary focus will be on facilitating smooth employee relocations, compliance with immigration and tax regulations, and providing support to internationally mobile employees. Your focus will be establishing excellence in customer experience for the assignees, business managers & HR colleagues whilst balancing this with commercial costs and compliance.

    Reporting to the Group Reward Manager, but with day-to-day supervision and guidance from the Global Mobility Manager, you'll be part of a wider Global Reward Function within HR and need to develop key relationships across the Global HR Function. You will also form part of a cross functional International Travel Compliance Team with Finance and Travel colleagues that supports requirements including EU Postered Worker assessments and tax compliance for Business Travelers.

    What you'll do

    • Complete day to day operational tasks to ensure service levels are met, including creating cost estimates, drafting assignment letters, evaluating expatriate compensation data against market practice, and fielding associated questions on relocation, taxes, and immigration.
    • Coordinate the delivery of destination services, lease reviews, household goods shipment, cultural training, language services, property management, etc.
    • In conjunction with the Global Mobility Manager, ensure the service delivered from external vendors (such as immigration, relocation and tax) meets our expectations and raise any concerns in a swift and professional way to address any service issues.
    • Liaising with senior management, HRBPs and other stakeholders on a regular basis to embed education of the key risks and commercial considerations involved in Global Mobility matters.
    • Coordinate and manage work permit and visa applications with our external service providers for International Assignments and Permanent Transfers.
    • Work with other stakeholders such as Payroll departments/bureaus and Finance to ensure accurate payment and compliance of assignee packages, including where necessary shadow payroll requirements.
    • Analyse tax and immigration requirements on a case-by-case basis to provide appropriate recommendations on cross-border movement and advise on global mobility policies and processes.
    • Assist the Global Mobility Manager in developing and updating guidance documents, policies, processes and ways of working so the function operates in the most efficient way to meet the business demands.
    • Complete tasks associated with ongoing tax compliance e.g. consolidating data for annual tax returns; updating net pay reconciliations and Tax Equalisation calculations; and processing the balance payments to/from tax authorities and assignees.
    • Investigate and coordinate the compliance actions required from quarterly Business Traveler Review outputs for Tax compliance.
    • Audit and process all vendor invoices and assignee expenses, including managing cross charges where necessary and keeping Finance teams aware of spend forecasts.
    • Stay updated with immigration laws, tax regulations, and cultural considerations in various countries to provide accurate advice and support.
    • Provide guidance and support for repatriation processes and career development for employees returning from international assignments.
    • Raise Purchase Orders's and rresolve queries on our invoices with our external service providers.
    • Support with the quarterly reporting updates to the business on the breadth of work undertaken and what's new or a hot topic in the world of Global Mobility.

    What you'll need

    • Circa 2 years' experience in a robust in house global mobility role at a similar level in a global organization. A 'big 4' expat tax background would be preferable but not essential.
    • A good general knowledge of the tax, social security & immigration implications impacting globally mobile employees.
    • A current in-depth knowledge of global mobility best practice and processes. Including tax equalization, local transfers, 'workations', commuters and business travelers.
    • A good practical understanding of other cultures and the impact of this in relation to global mobility
    • Experience in coordinating and managing end to end relocation services, including housing, schooling, and healthcare, cultural awareness training and language lessons.
    • A understanding of how world news will impact globally mobile employees from a cost, compliance and safety perspective.
    • Proficiency in using HRIS systems and other relevant HR tools.
    • Knowledge of international assignment compensation and benefits is preferred.
    • Certification, Membership, or Training in global mobility or related field is a plus.
    • Exceptional communication, collaboration and consultation skills; experience working with a diverse group of stakeholders across the globe.
    • Have an eye for detail in terms of written information and be able to articulate complex subjects in a digestible way to others.
    • Strong personal ownership for quality of work and impact, with high service orientation.
    • Able to adapt positively to changing work priorities and patterns; ensuring key deadlines continue to be met and work is prioritised effectively.
    • Able to work independently and effectively manage your own workload is key, but you must also be able to collaborate in a small team environment.
    • Have strong numerical and problem-solving skills, with basic knowledge of Excel.
    • An excellent solution driven problem solver that is able to apply this in their day to day role to get things done whilst managing risk, compliance and cost.
