The Vale Learning Disability Team is a multi-disciplinary team supporting adults 18+ with a diagnosed Learning Disability who may need care & support to meet their eligible care and support needs and achieve their own personal outcomes.
The role will include:
- carrying out a range of administration and database duties
- providing day-to-day support to the team
- helping to contribute towards the delivery of high-quality service to colleagues and customers
- dealing with tasks in a proactive and customer focused manner
- ensuring that work is completed in line with the relevant Policy and practice
- adhering to the Council's Equal Opportunities Policy
- complying with responsibilities under GDPR and related guidance.

About the role
Pay Details:
Grade 3, SCP 4, £21,189 per annum pro rata
Hours of Work /
Working Pattern: 18.5 hours per week, Wed pm to Friday
Main Place of Work:
Learning Disabilities Team, Hen Goleg Resource Centre
Temporary Reason:
Permanent, Part Time post
Description:
- Undertake reception duties receiving telephone calls and receiving visitors when required.
- Provide administrative support to the Learning Disability Team as agreed by Practitioner Managers and Team Manager.
- Maintain computerised record systems including WCISS and CONTENT MANAGER.
- Assist in processing of invoices for goods and services received via Oracle.
- Assist in the maintenance of staff annual leave and sickness records.
- Maintain stationery and office supplies.
- Assist in the compilation of the Social Care duty rota.
- Maintain physical and digital filing systems as appropriate.
- Liaise with the Records Management Unit as appropriate.
- To prepare for and participate in supervision and Personal Development Review (#Its About Me) sessions with supervisor / line manager and identify personal development and training needs.
About you
You will need:
- Experience in working in a busy office and meeting deadlines.
- Experience of team working.
- Numeracy and literacy skills with 4 G.C.S.E. English & Mathematics (or equivalent).
- Good allround computer knowledge, including computerbased information systems (Microsoft Access, Excel, etc) to manage and retrieve information.
- Good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- To be selfmotivated, able to prioritise workloads and work under pressure.
- Ability to use initiative and work flexibly to meet the changing needs of the post.
- Commitment to own personal development and further training.
- Commitment to Equal Opportunities and excellent Customer Service.
- Commitment to confidentiality and data protection rules under GDPR and related guidance.
