Data Cabling Engineer

Established for over 20 years, our client has successfully delivered exceptional customer service supplying Telecommunications and data cabling, to over 6,000 business customers, at 15,000 sites, throughout the UK.

An exciting opportunity has now arisen for a Structured Cabling Engineer to join our growing team based in Gosport/Portsmouth.

Most of the work is in the South and London so you must be in commutable distance from the office in Gosport.

The successful Structured Cabling Engineer will need comprehensive experience of Structured Cabling Infrastructure projects of all sizes and the role will require travel throughout the UK.

Installation of 5e/6/6a cabling infrastructure in commercial/construction environments.
Competent in the installation of containment systems
Ability to follow project specification documents and drawings
Understand Health and Safety Policies
Scheduling of material procurement Ensure project milestones are met
Experience in the installation, termination and testing of MM and SM Fibre Optic cabling systems
Experience of AV Systems
A-C grade GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths/Science and English.
Full UK driving licence
CSCS or ECS card
Company vehicle, staff incentives, 20 days paid holiday + Bank Holidays.
