EXECUTIVE/SENIOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE

Role Overview
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Executive/Senior Business Development Executive to join our Business Development Team.

Working as part of our Litigation function we are looking for a motivated individual looking for their next step in their career.

This role will be based in our London office.


Purpose of the role/opportunity overview:

Working in conjunction with the Head of Business Development, Litigation, design and support delivery of effective business development plans for the Litigation and Tax practice, led by Jim Cormack.

This role carries a high degree of autonomy and involves operating at partner level - it is very much a 'trusted advisor' role and the partners look to the BD lead for ideas, strategic input, a dynamic approach, and informed views, as well as effective multi-channelBD support.

Collaboration with sector colleagues.


Main Responsibilities:


General BD

  • Create and implement effective business development plans and budgets;
  • Support partners in relation to the delivery of Group initiatives and business development campaigns;
  • Work collaboratively across all relevant sectors on relevant client targeting and campaigns;
  • Undertake research to identify market trends and targets as well as opportunities to partner with external organisations to reach new audiences;

Events
Working alongside the Events Team, design and deliver successful client omni-channel client events.


This will include identifying topics, ensuring target clients are invited, engaging in the entire events lifecycle, analysing and reporting on the success of the event in terms of ROI and, critically, co-ordinating feedback and follow-up activity to ensurethat we optimise opportunities for new business and enhance the client experience.


Bids
Support the generation of revenue through winning new business:

  • Lead on the project management and preparation of bids, taking a hands-on role as necessary;
  • Run effective rehearsals with partners for pitch presentations;

Market intelligence

  • Work with PDLs/legal teams to stay up to date with legal changes and opportunities;
  • Track/monitor forthcoming projects;

Relevant Experience:


  • Previous experience of business development in a professional environment.
  • Experience of taking the lead in managing bids
  • Writing and editing copy for client facing documents
  • Project managing campaigns, preferably on a crosspractice and crossborder basis
