    Our London team provides front-end studies, engineering, procurement and project management services for initiating and executing oil & gas field, offshore wind HVDC, renewable energy and carbon capture developments. Our Business very much depends on our people; all our major achievements are team efforts.

    We are currently looking for a Principal Materials Engineer for our New Build team, the role will be based at our Chiswick office, UK.

    What will you be doing?
    • Lead Metallurgist with responsibility for coordinating the Material activities and deliverables for EPC, FEED and studies.
    • Preparation of Material Selection Diagrams, Material Selection Philosophy, Material Selection Reports, Cathodic Protection Design and CP Reports, corrosion management reports and corrosion/material studies.
    • Preparation of Material, Welding, Coating and Insulation specifications.
    • Technical advice on corrosion, failure mechanisms and risk based inspection
    • Support to procurement activities (bid evaluation, input to procurement package specifications, d/s, MTOs)
    • Review of Supplier documentation including WPS/PQRs, Coating Procedures, Insulation Procedures, NDE procedures.
    • Shop and site inspections to assist with trouble shooting at fabrication / procurement stage to ensure quality and fitness-for-service
    • Assessment of requests for technical deviations, concession requests and vendor enquiries.
    We think you should have:
    • Master or Bachelor of Science/ Engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience within Materials engineering from Oil & Energy or other relevant industry. Experience with offshore facilities, HVDC and carbon capture & storage facilities would be preferable.
    • Good understanding of project execution
    • Communication and co-operation skills, open and sharing

    • Team working skills with the ability to work in an international environment
