- Collect incoming deliveries from Main Pathology Specimen Reception.
- Unpack, check and label gynaecological specimens.
- Perform specimen data entry tasks using the Enterprise Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Work to clearly defined hourly productivity targets applicable to the job role.
- GCSEs to include Maths & English or NVQ to Level 2
- Willing to undergo training to ensure relevant level of knowledge & skills for the role.
- Comfortable working as part of a team in an administrative job role.

The Berkshire & Surrey Pathology Services Cytology department based at St Peter's Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic member of staff to join our busy HPV Specimen Reception successful candidate will:Work in the HPV Specimen Reception facility located in the Pathology suite at St Peter's a key part of the team supporting our HPV primary testing service that delivers cervical screening across the South East and South Central screening used to working in a busy environment and meeting clearly defined hourly productivity targets.Previous experience of working in a Pathology Reception or other NHS post would be advantageous although not essential as full training will be an organisation we offer opportunities for training and development, access to the NHS Pension Scheme, NHS discounts, opportunities for flexible working and access to onsite childcare provisions (nursery).For further information, please contact Phil Oakes, HPV Specimen Reception Site Manager, on or email
