Process Engineer, Oldbury, £32-35k
Excellent opportunity to join a proven, successful, and well-established manufacturing company. They produce a wide variety of metal pressed components and assemblies and are looking to expand their team.


Job Purpose:

The job role involves supporting the production processes around the business by increasing the OEE.

The role is also a technical position and will involve supporting production in carrying out TPM checks and maintenance task on key kit.


Accountabilities:

*Support production in solving Problems / Breakdowns in a Professional manor to ensure production is back up and running as soon as possible.
*Responsible for the upkeep of the machines in the areas you are working in and reporting any issues to the Process Engineering Manager as soon as they occur.
*Ensure all job requests are completed on time that are allocated to your team.
*Improve OEE on current processes around the business.
*Provide the new project department with support on the introduction of new business, including ensuring that you support the project system and the program need dates are achieved
*Ensure that any Health and Safety hazards are identified and reported and that you adhere strictly to the company's Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality Policies and procedures, and that all those in your department also do so.
*To be prepared to help out with maintenance when asked to do so by the Team Leader in that area or Process Engineering Manager.
*Communicating with persons inside and outside of the organization in the most efficient manor to ensure accurate provision of information.
*Carry out any tasks within the scope and abilities of the function other than those listed above. The Process Engineering Manager / other members of staff may provide these verbally or in writing, such as expectation or improvement requests.
*Undertake the training of any apprentice / improver that is put in your care.


Key Issues:

*To support production in its weekly goals.
*To support the integration of new processes within the business.
*To support day to day maintenance issues on key kit.
*To look at existing processes and improve productivity.

Qualifications
*Lean Manufacturing
*PLC Knowledge (Omron and Mitsubishi)
*Knowledge of Vision systems.
*Knowledge of Pneumatics
*NVQ in Electrical Engineering
*NVQ in Mechanical Engineering (Knowledge of manual machining)
*Knowledge Robot Co2 and spot welding would be an advantage but training would be given.


Job Context:

*To ensure that the production cells operate in a productive manor and all breakdowns are kept to a minimum.
*To improve OEE on existing processes.

Competitive Salary + Pension Scheme

Hours 39hr per week 7.30am-4.30pm Monday to Thursday & 7.30am-12.30pm Friday.
