I am looking for an experienced and talented interim AD of Finance - Business Partnering for one of my London based Local Authorities.

My client seeks to strengthen their Business Partnering team as they adjust the structure of the finance function to incorporate this new post - are you someone who can bring this team together and drive forward continuous improvements, working with a committed, loyal and hard-working team that is currently focussed on more traditional budget monitoring?

My client is looking for someone who can focus the 27 strong team (5 direct reports) on spending less time on transactional work, and more time on adding value in the true business partnering sense.

Working closely with the Head of Corporate Finance, you would be responsible for:

Producing the Council wide budget quarterly budget monitoring report cycles for revenue
Briefing the Cabinet Member for Finance
Developing risk based approach to ensure financial resilience
Supporting specific council wide projects as required
Bringing ideas to increase income and reduce costs as part of budget setting
Driving value for money
Reaching out to Procurement and HR business partners to work together to support the wider Council priorities

Experience of working in this type of role covering "People" would be particularly advantageous.
