Alma Personnel have great pleasure in being instructed to recruit for an experienced Quality Engineer for their Coventry based manufacturing client.


Whilst working in the Quality department you will be supporting the production team, with emphasis on Quality standards and procedures through the introduction of leading techniques and methodologies.


Main duties:

  • Facilitate quality standard design, development & improvement
  • Develop, execute and analyse quality procedures
  • Maintain quality standards
  • Develop, facilitate, and lead activities focused on risk reduction (current and future) across all internal production processes
  • Ensure accuracy of production process
  • Problem resolution through timely response to the escalation process
  • Utilise various problem solving and analysis techniques e.g. 8D, SPC, FMEA, Taguchi, QFD
  • Ensure proper inspections and product quality
  • Establish, maintain, analyse and report quality metrics
  • Develop & implement training materials
  • Developing and maintaining the use of timing plans, advanced quality planning techniques e.g. PPAP and FMEA etc
  • Support Value Engineering (VA/VE) and Cost Reduction initiatives by providing technical and quality liaison internally and throughout our supplier base with the potential deployment of Lean methodologies
  • Ensure process, supplied components, and production performance fall within the parameters of Quality system parameters

Experience:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, in manufacturing or Business industrial or quality based engineering related qualification.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment with a good understanding of Lean manufacturing systems

Be able to communicate at all levels, internally and externally.

Possessing core skills like problem solving skills and process improvement experience is essential. Core tools (APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA and PPAP experience.
