    About the Role

    Uber Eats is looking to hire a Senior Strategy & Operations Manager for the United Kingdom & Ireland Courier Operations team. Couriers are meaningful partners for the Uber Eats platform and the team places all aspects of their experience at the core of its activities. The candidate will have a role in ensuring the long-term success of one of Uber's largest markets by helping to develop and deliver the business' strategic priorities for couriers.

    The role will involve taking a strategic view of the business and scoping out objectives through conducting in-depth and robust analysis to diagnose problems and solutions. There will be close working with a wide range of cross-functional partners, including policy, communications, and legal, (at a regional and global level) as thought partners, and having a 360-degree view of the regulatory and macroeconomic environment in which couriers operate in. Responsibilities will equally extend to translating strategy into action. This means leading and completing projects at pace while bringing in multiple teams required to implement new policies, processes, and products.

    We are looking for an individual who is experienced in influencing and managing both internal and external partners, is able to apply their analytical and technical skills to real-world problems, and has a strong bias for operational excellence.

    What You Will Do
    • Use quantitative and qualitative data to build strategies and inform decision making
    • Identify, assess and prepare for potential changes in the regulatory environment impacting the business
    • Develop strategic direction and objectives by working closely with cross-functional team members (policy, communications, legal, marketing). Obtain their expert advice, thoroughly challenge the prevailing thought, and influence key decision-makers in the organisation
    • Work across multiple product and operations teams to implement solutions
    • Deliver large-scale programmes of work with multiple deliverables and at pace
    Basic Qualifications
    • Bachelor or advanced degree in business analytics, engineering, mathematics, politics, physics, economics, econometrics or equivalent
    • Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience within a similar position, having managed stakeholders, large projects, and demonstrated an ability to adapt to a fast-moving working environment
    • Experience working with external partners, regulators, or other government agencies
    • Robust data analytics and technical skills - able to manage large datasets and test hypothesis with analytical / statistical methods
