We are at the forefront of translating ground-breaking scientific discoveries into cutting-edge market opportunities in functional materials, high value-added polyolefins, and sustainability solutions.

    We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and passionate individual to join our team as Research Assistant. This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduate who are eager to kickstart their careers and gain valuable industrial experience in the chemicals and materials sectors.

    Fixed-term contract: 12 months (potentially be extended or renewed)

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate closely with Researcher and Application Engineer to advance dynamic research projects, including Direct Lithium Extraction and Sunscreen UV Filter, among others.
    • Take ownership of operating and maintaining state-of-the-art synthesis, analytical, and testing equipment.
    • Conduct material analysis and characterisation for ongoing projects.
    • Employ your data analysis skills to derive meaningful conclusions and contribute to report writing.
    • Contribute to the smooth functioning of the lab through general lab duties and administrative support.

    Job Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or other relevant fields.
    • Eligible to work in the UK (work visa sponsorship is not available for this role).
    • Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and hazard analysis.
    • Showcasing your motivation, enthusiasm, and exceptional organisational skills, you are a self-starter who thrives with minimal supervision.
    • Lab experience in wet chemistry is of advantage.
