Express Recruitment are proud to be partnering once again with one of the UK's leading suppliers, who lead the way within their niche industry.

Due to further expansion and development of a brand-new storage facility, our client is keen a new dynamic setof skills to their ranks, in the form of a COMAH EHS Manager.

In return, you will receive a competitive starting salary of up to £50,000, plus up to a £8k car allowance, fuel card, pension, non-contractual bonus and lots of other great benefits


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop in depth COMAH safety reports along with associated supporting documents and ensure compulsory requirements and advisories are acknowledged and actioned
  • Collaborate with the Head of COMAH Safety to implement process safety systems crucial to safe operation of the business, in full adherence to the company compliance standards
  • Perform COMAH incident investigations on lowtier and toptier sites
  • Help to devise process site safety strategy and promote H&S behavioural culture
  • Carry out frequent risk assessments and assist with site audits on lowtier and hightier COMAH sites
  • Collaborate with operations leaders & department managers to minimise operational losses, occupational health problems, accidents and injuries
  • Observe and investigate ongoing work practices and provide strategic advice and support to help develop and implement improvements
  • Keep abreast of the wider LPG industry to ensure changes to legislative or environmental standards are implemented across the organisation
  • Ensure off site safety plans are tried and tested in collaboration with local emergency authorities

Qualifications & Experience

  • NEBOSH Diploma or IOSH Managing Safely trained
  • Certified COMAH site regulations trained with demonstrable knowledge and understanding of process safety legislation
  • Confident analytics skills with the ability to handle large data sets
  • Highly skilled in areas of risk assessments, auditing, accident investigation and method statements
  • Demonstrable Process Safety experience
  • Experience within the gas, chemical, energy or hazardous industry sectors
  • First class stakeholder management skills
  • Flexible with working hours and travelling when required
  • Full UK Driving Licence
