    Job Title: Medical Director

    The Medical Director is a key leadership role responsible for providing clinical direction and strategic oversight to various departments such as Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology and Gen Surgery. As a Medical Director with with extensive experience in one of these areas, you will drive the development and implementation of best practices, ensuring the delivery of top-quality patient care.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide leadership to the various departments, setting clinical goals, and promoting a culture of excellence in patient care.
    • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop strategic plans and initiatives for departmental growth and success.
    • Oversee and direct all clinical operations, including patient consultations, surgical procedures, and post-operative care, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety standards.
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative environment that encourages research, continuous learning, and the adoption of new technologies and treatments.
    • Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to maintain the highest level of patient outcomes and satisfaction.
    • Lead the recruitment, training, and professional development of clinical, and supporting staff to build a highly competent and cohesive team.
    • Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, professional standards, and legal guidelines relevant to practice.
    • Collaborate with the administrative team to optimise resource allocation, manage budgets, and enhance operational efficiency.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements, ensuring the integration of evidence-based practices and cutting-edge treatments.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Medical degree (MD)
    • GMC Registration
    • Extensive experience, with a proven track record of clinical excellence and leadership.
    • Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to foster collaboration among diverse teams and stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in managing clinical operations and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
    • Sound knowledge of industry regulations, accreditation, and compliance requirements.
    • Dedication to patient-centred care, patient safety, and continuous improvement.
    • Ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor clinical professionals to achieve their full potential.
