Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team in Bedford.

The role involves working as part of a multi-skilled team to build, assemble, test, and develop high-precision special-purpose machinery and test equipment.

Additionally, this role will require international travel to customer sites for machinery installations, upgrades, and service support.


Key Responsibilities:
Build, assemble, test, and develop high-precision special-purpose machinery and test equipment.
Work on new machinery builds and R&D projects, liaising with the project team on a technical level.

Complete visit and site reports during regular site visits, assisting with commissioning, set up, and error correction of ultra-precision machine tools.

Provide service support to customers, including installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards and within specified timelines.


Requirements:
Engineering qualification such as HNC/HND, C&G, BTEC, or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
Ability to problem-solve and fault-find logically and methodically.
Proficient with Microsoft packages such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. Willingness to travel internationally for customer site visits.
