Outline of role


Reporting to the department Team Leader/Manager; a pivotal aspect of the role is to support their line manager and provide excellent customer service.


A key aspect of this role is to ensure high standards of both external and internal communication in order develop and maintain excellent relationships with customers and suppliers.

Crucial aspects of this role include; process review and suggestions for improvement, workload planning, issue resolution, progression reporting, accountability for own outputs, working within budgets and spends, monitoring cost savings, managing customer expectations in line with internal


Main responsibilities

  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Work within project budgets
  • Assist with landing projects in line with schedule
  • Manage and prioritise own workload effectively
  • Cost effectively
  • Suggest process improvement ideas

Knowledge/experience required

  • Support with the training of new team members
  • Manage and prioritise own workload effectively
  • Accountability for own outputs
  • Work within agreed budgets and monitor spends
  • Issue resolution in line with SLAs
  • Data accuracy and reporting
  • Meet all customer expectations
  • Support manager and other teams as and when required
  • Experience on project costings and invoice reconciliation
  • Experience working to budgets
  • Experience of operating IT systems/Microsoft office packages/Sage 200 accounting system

Skills required

  • Hardworking, reliable and friendly
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent IT skills and strong knowledge/experience with all MS office packages including Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to build a good rapport and communicate effectively, both internally and externally
  • Ability to learn quickly and prioritise effectively whilst managing own outputs to meet deadlines
  • Ability to adapt and react quickly and effectively in a changing environment
  • Ability to manage a fast paced and diverse workload
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask whilst maintaining quality of work
  • Ability to problem solve and use own initiative
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate data input with a "right first time" approach
  • Ability to listen and take direction

Qualifications:

GSCE Maths & English - C or above (not essential)
