    University of Derby
    Permanent

Challenging, interesting and constantly changing, the University of Derby is an exceptional place to learn and an incredibly rewarding place to work.

Ours is an extraordinary educational environment and because we specialise in identifying and developing individual potential, you can be confident you'll receive all the help and encouragement you need to build a rewarding career with lots of opportunities to progress.

Our combined higher and further education offering is spread over campuses in Derby, Buxton, Leek and Chesterfield and we have some of the best university facilities in the UK, investing more than £200 million in facilities in the last 10 years.

We achieve outstanding results for our teaching and research and with more than 34,000 people choosing to study with us every year, we depend on the dedication of a team of 2,200 academic and professional services staff.

Financially strong and seriously ambitious we offer our employees a family-friendly, rewarding career with lots of opportunities to progress.

This role is based in a busy External Relations department and is focused on supporting the ongoing development and maintenance of the University of Derby website and any other digital estate connected to the University's student recruitment, marketing and profile-raising activity.

In addition, the role is responsible for driving technological innovation, reporting and analysis, and supporting key marketing operations.

We are seeking a candidate who possesses substantial experience in front-end development, working with third-party Content Management Systems (CMS) and similar technologies.

While familiarity with a broad development stack is beneficial, expertise in full-stack development (client and server-side) is not a prerequisite for this role as the University uses a wide variety of third-party systems for most of its back-end (server-side) operations.

Generous annual leave entitlement of 26 + bank holidays + 4 days concessional leave
Competitive salary + Local Government Pension Scheme
Suite of holistic wellbeing benefits and support including family-friendly policies, ill-health compensation, and robust Employee Assistance Programme
Access to variety of staff discounts at high street retailers
    Discounted onsite gym
    Discounted access to Devonshire Spa

For further information and informal enquiries regarding the role, please contact Lewis Love, Head of Digital and Web via l.
