Background to the Post
The Bar Assistant will support the running of the Student Bar, providing an inviting environment in which the recreational needs of students, members of staff and guests can be met.
You will ensure all financial returns from the bar operations are compliant with the relevant legislation relating to the selling of intoxicating drinks.

Moreton Morrell College
Our Moreton Morrell campus offers a centre dedicated to veterinary nursing, as well as a large animal welfare centre. There is also a Construction facility with an open workshop area for brickwork, carpentry and multi-skilling. The working farm on site attracts members of the public to our lambing event that takes place every year.
Essential Attainments:
- You must be 18 years or older, in line with licensing law.
- Honest and trust worthy, hardworking reliable and responsible.
- Sociable and able to interact effectively with different types of people.
- Enjoy using your initiative to come up with ideas to help the Bar Manager enhance the Bar's profitability.
- Versatile, flexible and adaptable.
- Previous experience in a customer service environment and ideally bar work.
Desirable Attainments:
- Prepared to undertake Level 2 in Food Safety and First Aid
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of Equality and Diversity.
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
- Ability to demonstrate behaviours which support the Core Values of the College.
