Description

Are you looking to further develop your HR career in a fast paced environment with opportunities to build strategic and operational experience and have an impact? If this sounds like you, we have a unique opportunity that is too good to miss.

Our workforce is large, multi-professional and diverse; and everyday, they achieve great things for our patients.

We owe it to them to provide a great place to work, where they feel supported, have a voice and can flourish and develop.

This means that we can't stand still and we constantly need to enhance our employment offer and our people management practices so that we attract, engage and retain colleagues who are passionate about delivering excellent and compassionate care for our patients.

You will work within a team of skilled and forward thinking Workforce Business Partners, helping our senior managers to design and enact progressive workforce strategies and solutions.

This job is varied and no two days will be the same, so your ability to juggle multiple priorities and independently manage your work will be crucial.

If this is the role for you, then you will be someone who thrives in a busy environment.

You will also be someone who loves getting into the detail and you will get a buzz from seeing programmes of work through - you will be involved at the beginning, engaging with stakeholders and scoping issues and solutions; and you will be constantly evaluating progress and measuring impact.

You could be supporting managers with change programmes or complex employee relations issues, reviewing staff survey data, planning how we introduce new roles into our workforce, or forecasting how our workforce may change over the next five years.

Whatever you are doing, you will be working collaboratively and using strong analytical skills.

So what can we offer you? Well, you will be working for an award winning organisation, supported by a strong and dedicated team of colleagues who work hard and look out for one another.

We will help you develop your skills, give you opportunities to try new things and we actively encourage you to challenge us to continuously improve what we do.

You can work agilely and we will consider requests for flexible working to help you maintain work/life balance. Our benefits package is comprehensive with access to salary sacrifice schemes, discounts and gold standard wellbeing support.

You will work with Workforce and Organisational Development colleagues in the provision of a professional and comprehensive service to business areas within our organisation

This will include:

  • Providing proactive, professional guidance to senior managers on a range of workforce issues. You will understand their service strategies and business objectives and will work collaboratively with all stakeholders to identify workforce issues and develop and implement business focused interventions.
  • Representing the Workforce and Organisational Development team at a range of forums, including organisational programme boards and regional project and strategy groups.
  • Providing regular reports, analysis and recommendations for action against key performance indicators and transformational change objectives.
  • Supporting the management of employee relations casework, ensuring any concerns, issues, themes or learning are shared with senior managers and appropriate actions agreed.
  • Leading on succession planning.
You will also develop specific workforce policies and supporting resources, ensuring a transformational and engaging approach to policy design.

As the lead for strategic workforce planning you will develop our approach, actively engaging managers and stakeholders to innovatively plan for a sustainable workforce for the future.

This will include gathering intelligence from a range of sources to undertake predictive analysis around workforce demand and supply, completing national and regional data returns as required.
