    Lead IT Support Engineer

    This is a hybrid role / predominantly home working with occasional travel as required to the Gloucester office

    Our client is a pure-play cyber security consultancy that is going through a period of significant growth due to a recent M&A.

    We're seeking a driven and passionate Lead IT Support Engineer to take on a pivotal role in constructing a resilient and top-tier technology infrastructure landscape. The ideal candidate will thrive as a collaborative team member, actively engaging across various business units. Additionally, self-motivation and initiative are valued in ensuring the efficient operation of our client's critical technology environment.

    This is an excellent opportunity to join our client whilst they are going through a period of growth allowing you to potentially grow into an Internal Head of IT / IT Manager type role.

    In addition, if you are passionate about DevOps / DevSecOps this role will allow you an opportunity to work in these areas, developing your experience and expertise alongside your day-to-day responsibilities. Our client understands the importance of career development and progression so will provide an annual per annum training grant for professional development as well

    Reporting to the Head of Engineering and the Technical Director you will play an important part in both the internal IT Technical Infrastructure and landscape including but not limited to

    • Act as the go-to person for all IT-related matters across the business.
    • Assisting with the setup, installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and other IT tools.
    • Vulnerability and Patch management – keeping all devices up to date.
    • Take ownership of all internal technical IT Support tickets and escalations
    • Researching and building proof of concept of new tools & systems.
    • Supporting the wider DevOps/ DevSecOps teams as required

    What we are looking for:

    • MANDATORY – ability to go through SC Clearable
    • Stakeholder management skills
    • Troubleshooting and problem management experience
    • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
    • Experience of working with formal SLAs delivered through IT Helpdesk
    • Strong technical experience in a Windows and Linux based infrastructure
    • In-depth Azure/365 administration
    • Networking concepts (Subnetting, vLAN, Routing, WiFi)
    • Firewall/Unified threat management administration
    • MacOS / iOS Experience
    • Android Experience
    • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
