The Company

This is medium-sized multi-disciplined property and Building Services engineering consultancy with three UK regional offices and two within Europe. This BIM Revit Technician role is based in their very smart office in the City of London. They have an enviable client list which includes top Financial Institutions, Heritage and Industrial companies amongst others.

Their priority is to mirror technology and Building Services and industry innovations, the implementation of BIM, using Revit MEP is seen as a high priority.

The Role

Our client requires an analytical and versatile BIM individual with the desire and ability to progress this department to the next level.

They require a reliable and motivated BIM technician with excellent communication skills and a great ability to learn new technical information, software systems and to build relationships quickly within this Building Services consultancy.

Ideally you will have implemented Level 2 BIM Revit MEP, Creating Standard MEP Revit Templates for all projects working through to BIM Level 2 Certification.

You should be able to create and implement a BIM Revit MEP Execution plan for amending to suit responses to clients requests and issues for Tender.

The job entails implementing BIM across the MEP team using Revit MEP to produce electrical models containing lighting, containment, small power, fire systems, access and security controls.

Also mechanical models for ventilation, water services, heating and cooling, drainage and fire
suppression.

You should have knowledge of importing architectural & structural Revit, IFC and CAD files to Revit.

Also, you will have a good understanding of PAS1192 standards executed on live projects and:

Proficient in the use of Autodesk Revit.
Developed existing filing systems to be BIM workflow capable
Knowledge in the design of Building Services systems in accordance CIBSE guides of:
CWS & HWS, DHN, LTHW, BCWS,
LV, Comms/BT, Fire, Lighting, Containment and Drainage. HVAC Design
Main working knowledge in Plant Room 3D coordination and Risers & Laterals modelling
Reading, understanding, amending and producing schematics P&ID and Risers & Laterals drawings
Designing & Sizing water pipes and ventilation network
Undertaking site surveys for coordination

Qualifications & Experience

You will be encouraged to attend design team meetings and BIM Co-ordination Workshops.

BIM/CAD Coordination for building services contractors and consultancies
BIM on a daily basis
Complying and dealing with CAD Standards: PAS 1192 & BS 1192, BEP, CDE (Aconex, 4Project and Conject)
Clash Detection
