    An exciting opportunity to join and develop our growing GI surgery clinical nurse specialist team has been created. These are the predominantly ward based posts complimenting the existing surgical teams with an opportunity to use clinical skills, assessment and initiate treatment in a variety of settings.

    Main duties of the job The Royal Surrey is a thriving surgical centre, delivering high-quality & innovative care for elective and emergency surgical patient. We have roles to support clinical teams in specialist areas including emergency surgery and specialist tertiary services, covering much of Surrey and Sussex in Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB), Oesophagogastric and colorectal teams, undergoing complex cancer, emergency and benign surgery as part of our overall expansion of service services.

    These are highly valued roles supported by the surgical directorate & would form a key part of the existing clinical teams.Theywould be ideal for those with critical care andoutreach experience and advanced assessment skills.

Our main acute hospital site is in Guildford with community hospital sites at Milford, Haslemere and Cranleigh. We provide adult community health services in homes across Guildford and Waverley.

    • Demonstrable experience at band 6 level in an acute surgical area
    • Knowledge of clinical governance issues such as complaints handling, clinical risk management
