    Business Development Manager – LGBT Great

    Role Type: Full-Time

    Location: Warnford Court, 29 Throgmorton Street, City of London

    Working Practices: London, with remote and flexible working available on application

    Reporting to: Matt Cameron, Chief Executive Officer | Head of Membership Services

    The vision of LGBT Great is to make every organisational LGBTQ+ friendly inside and out; our mission to empower 1 million people by 2030 through our programmes and initiatives. The Business Development Manager will play a vital role in helping LGBT Great to achieve its vision and mission and offers significant long-term career potential.

    The Business Development Manager reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for supporting the commercial growth of the company with the acquisition of new business for the Membership and Careers business lines. They will play a key role in enabling LGBT Great to realise the 5-year business growth goals.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    New Business Development Sales:

    • Ownership of a new business revenue target for Membership, Careers and Sponsorship.
    • Identifying, prospecting and marketing to new potential members and Careers clients.
    • Generating demand by leveraging warm prospects through insights and data.
    • Design and management of the LGBT Great sales process and lifecycle.
    • Leading as an LGBT Great ambassador in the marketplace.
    • Empowering new business sales by supporting the CEO with the development of CVPs to position LGBT Great against market competitors.
    • Aligning the CVPs (LGBTQ+ maturity and stakeholder type) to the LGBT Great proposition.
    • Supporting marketing to build effective strategic marketing campaigns.

    Strategic Client Value Proposition (CVPs) Development:

    Community Building and Partnership Development:

    • Empowering new business sales by development of the LGBT Great 3rd party partnership network with other LGBTQ+ organisations, DE&I partners and Charities.
    • Building engagement of stakeholders and talent across the membership, client and careers communities.

    LGBTQ+ DE&I Subject Matter Expertise:

    • Empowering new business sales by deepening knowledge around LGBTQ+ inclusion adding value to Members, Clients and the broader LGBT Great community.
    • Assessing where organisations are in their LGBTQ+ strategies and spotting the gaps. Taking a forensic level approach to what the firms are doing so we can understand how we can map back some of the things that LGBT Great can support them with.
    • Leading and participating in webinars, event discussions, conferences where required.
    • Collaboration and support to the Insights and Content function including drafting where required.
    • Supporting the CEO and Executive Director, with innovations for new product development.
