    Aramark UK are recruiting a Social Value Executive to join the business reporting to our ESG Manager. This is a brand-new opportunity for a talented individual to support us on our ESG journey and drive our social value and sustainability initiatives forward.

    As Social Value Executive, you will integrate social responsibility and sustainability principles into Aramark's operations, culture, and decision-making processes, ultimately contributing to positive social change and long-term business success.

    To be successful for this position, you will have a passion for social change with a diverse skill set encompassing strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, project management, and data analysis, to create meaningful impact.

    This is a permanent and full-time role which will ideally be suited to a recent graduate or an individual with a passion for sustainability who may want to study an apprenticeship in corporate responsibility and sustainability with us.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Assess the social impact of the organisation's activities, products, and services. This involves analysing how the company's operations affect various stakeholders, including employees, communities, customers, and the environment.
    • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs, concerns, and expectations regarding social responsibility and sustainability. This may involve conducting surveys, hosting focus groups, and collaborating with community organisations, NGOs, and government agencies.
    • Based on social impact assessments and stakeholder input, develop a comprehensive social value strategy aligned with the organisation's mission, values, and business objectives.
    • Oversee the implementation of social value initiatives and programs designed to achieve the organisation's goals. This may involve launching community engagement projects, diversity and inclusion initiatives, environmental conservation programs, philanthropic activities, and employee volunteer programs.
    • Establish and maintain partnerships with external organisations, including nonprofits, government agencies, academic institutions, and other businesses, to collaborate on social value projects and leverage resources and expertise.
    • Develop metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and impact of social value initiatives.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to social responsibility
    • Communicate social value initiatives and their importance to employees at all levels of the organisation. This may involve conducting training sessions, creating educational materials, and fostering a culture of social responsibility and sustainability within the company.
    • Seeks opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in social value strategies and programs. This may involve exploring new technologies, partnerships, and approaches to maximise positive social impact and drive positive change.
    • Represent the organisation as a thought leader and advocate for social responsibility and sustainability in relevant forums, conferences, and industry associations. This may involve sharing best practices, insights, and success stories to inspire others and drive collective action.

    You'll be set up for success if you have:

    • A relevant degree in Environmental Science/Studies, Sustainability or CSR with a passion for social responsibility and sustainability
    • Appetite for further professional learning such as an apprenticeship- L4 apprenticeship in corporate responsibility and sustainability
    • An understanding of social and environmental issues, including poverty, inequality, climate change, and human rights
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build relationships, listen actively, and collaborate effectively
    • Strategic thinking skills to develop and implement long-term social value strategies
    • The ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make informed decisions
    • Effective project management skills are necessary for planning, organising, and executing social value initiatives within budget and timeline constraints
    • The ability to collect, analyse, and interpret data is essential for measuring the effectiveness and impact of social value initiatives
