    We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Technician to join our dynamic technical operations team, which strives to provide a sector leading technical support for FSE and the wider University. With a commitment to customer service excellence and a passion for science and engineering, the Technician will provide an agile technical support service to staff and students to support teaching, research and professional services. FSEs research and teaching quality is recognised globally; this is an exciting opportunity to join us in Manchester and contribute to the provision of a sector leading technical service.

    Your primary responsibility will be the reliable and continuous operations of the Chemistry Departments local research and teaching environments. You will ensure that all technical related areas including laboratories and teaching spaces, the infrastructure and services related to research and teaching equipment, and all related services are compliant, and operate reliably and smoothly on a day to day basis.

    Please note this role is not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route of the Points Based System. Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate their right to work in the UK in order to be eligible to take up the post.
