Purpose of the Role

As Senior Surveyor / Engineering you will work on a 12 month fixed term contract within the project team, surveying and setting out / control of the works on site. The Senior Surveyor / Engineering will use surveying equipment / techniques and 3D software to perform their role. As with general engineering roles, the overriding purpose is to ensure that the project works are undertaken efficiently, accurate records are kept, and works are delivered in accordance with the customer's requirements.

Main Responsibilities

The Senior Surveyor/ Engineer will stablish and maintain site control (primary setting out / stations) and survey and support engineers with the provision of setting out data from models. You will use 2D and 3D models and contract drawings / specifications for providing specialist engineering expertise and support to the project team and other activities including support of planning and commercial functions (measurement & temporary works detailing)

You will monitor works in progress and keep records and identification of change within works and carry out validation topographical surveys, ensuring high level of accuracy is achieved. The Senior Surveyor/ Engineer will also complete comparison of validation surveys against ground level / topographical survey provided by client – identify any differences and notify PM /QS

Ideal Background

To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant industry qualification (HND/HNC/BEng or equivalent) and relevant CSCS Card. You will also be experienced in setting out survey equipment and be proficient in the use of 3D modelling / geospatial software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MX Genio etc.

You will be organised and have used your judgement and make decisions in ambiguous situations and demonstrate a high competence in areas of challenging, influencing and coaching.

A salary of £400 per day
