Description
To be responsible for leading on the organisation and planning of a portfolio of Postgraduate Medical Education events.

To provide on-site support at events and courses, together with supporting the course directors and senior members of the medical education team to ensure the smooth running of each event.

To prepare and design marketing materials for the individual courses. To produce accurate financial costings for each event.

  • To be responsible for the efficient organisation of a portfolio of PGMC courses, including those delivered at the Cambridge Digital Health and Surgical Training Centre. The events include the organisation of national and international conferences and meetings
  • To ensure each event is correctly advertised and marketed.
  • To prepare marketing materials for the individual courses, including digital marketing and designing of marketing literature.
  • To liaise with the course directors, programme leads and faculty in a timely and courteous manner, ensuring each course runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Be an active member of the Cambridge University Hospitals Medical Education team, providing cover within the team as and when required
  • Be prepared to work unsocial hours when the need arises
  • To produce regular progress reports to the Medical Education Manager and Course Directors
  • Correspond and liaise with the appropriate professional bodies in respect of permissions and accreditations for individual courses including the ordering, receipt and distribution of course manuals
  • Liaise closely with the course directors and other key personnel and staff at the course venues to ensure each course is well organised
  • Attend staff meetings
