The School of Finance and Management (SFM) is a leading centre for research in finance and management in a global context as well as specialist knowledge on Africa, Asia and the Middle East. We aim to develop policy makers who shape new developments as well as business leaders who create value for their companies and organizations. Our Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes are research-led and challenge-driven and they deliver teaching of the highest quality. They adopt a global perspective and enable participants to develop and enhance sound analytical thinking, personal drive and initiative, and effective communication. Master's degree programmes are also offered through the distance learning Centre for Financial and Management Studies (CeFiMS).
Our Research programmes provide opportunities for advanced students to work towards MPhil and PhD degrees. About the Role
The School of Finance and Management is seeking to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Marketing (Academic Education-Focused career Route or AER). The School of Finance and Management is expanding the Postgraduate programmes with the launch of a new MSc International Marketing in 2024/25, and various new exciting programmes and initiatives are underway.
The successful candidate will have proven teaching ability. They will be expected to design and deliver modules at either or both undergraduate and postgraduate level in the field of marketing, such as international marketing, consumer behaviour, business-to-business marketing, and digital marketing. They may be expected to teach other subjects in the field of management more broadly. They will possess capabilities and skills to engage students, innovate teaching methods, and stimulate a thriving learning environment.
We are open to colleagues who have received (or are receiving) a PhD in Marketing
or in a related field such as Management, Psychology, and Sociology.
