    Job summary

    The post holder will play a key role to drive benefits and embed adoption of the Trust's Rostering systems. This role is critical to the delivery of Trust wide cost improvement programmes whilst concurrently ensuring patient safety through the appropriate deployment of staff.

    Main duties of the job

    Assist in the production of rosters using data provided by managers during the roll out phase for individual areas, identifying problems using analysis skills such as reading audit logs from roster, verify the applicability of rules and restrictions and analysis of staff working restrictions and the impact they have on the roster. Rectifying these issues until a workable roster is produced.

    Conduct workshops with managers to gather data and gain the tacit knowledge they have accumulated in their experience of producing rosters. Use rostering knowledge and skills on system to transfer these requirements into settings on the E-Rostering system.

    Support Senior Managers, Clinicians and Unit Managers in the production and analysis of effective rosters to ensure achievement of key performance indicators, indicating if work restrictions in place are unworkable and need to be discussed with staff.

    Person Specification

    Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training

    Essential

  • Educated to academic Level 5 (, NVQ5, Foundation Degree) or equivalent experience within a relevant field
  • Experience within a HR/Finance or Flexible Staffing environment OR Experience of using eRoster/ESR or equivalent systems
  • Previous experience using Allocate Health Roster or similar
  • Desirable

  • ECDL or Prince qualification
  • Knowledge and Skills

    Essential

  • Knowledge of range of Microsoft Office Packages
  • Knowledge of statutory Government legislation and requirements for data collection Data Protection Act.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and written formats
  • Able to multi-task and continue to function to a high standard when under pressure.
  • Ability to work to tight and moving deadlines.
  • Ability to interpret and explain complex issues in a logical and practical manner
  • Ability to work independently using initiative and as a team member
