    UK – London, US - Hartford or Stamford

    The Global Head of GT Project Management is accountable for the delivery of all programs and projects delivered by Application Solutions, Digital Factory, and Transversal Services. They will lead and develop a centralized team of IT Project Managers that will deliver through both waterfall and scaled agile frameworks. S/he are accountable for the execution of either the Waterfall or Scaled Agile Best Practices,Guidelines, and Stage Gate compliance (in conjunction with the PMO).

    What will your essential responsibilities include?

    • Accountable for the delivery of all programs and projects delivered by Application Solutions, Digital Factory, and Transversal Services. ($50m+). Ensures the scope of services are executed in line with the governance processes and business benefits are realised. Scope includes business, transformation/growth, application currency, security, risk and audit projects.
    • Drive the Project Management discipline ensuring Best Practice standards are adhered to.
    • Working with key stakeholders, lead the enhancements of the GT Project Management Framework as a mechanism for driving an efficient, consistent approach and ways of working reflected in projects being delivered on time, to budget, to scope.
    • Lead, coach and manage a large team (40+) Project Managers and responsiblestaff development, career paths, and team culture.
    • Work closely with the Head of Operations and Head of Application Solutions to ensure all projects are transitioned into BAU. Scope includes technical, managerial, contracts and financials.
    • Manage the Project Management resource pool on– internal and external (40+ individuals).
    • Partners with the Transformation Change Delivery Function and the business to ensure effective Project Delivery Framework that continually improves.
    • Creates high-level organizational goals and objectives for FT Project Managers. Ensures synergy with the broader business and Global Technology vision.
    • In collaboration with Procurement, manages RFI/RFPs, contract negotiations and delivery of contract terms. Actively removes underperforming suppliers .
    • Ensures that business cases for application investments, such as technology upgrades, productivity tools, and continuous service improvement initiatives are developed and adequately funded.
    • Control and manage the budget for GT Projects

    You will report to the Global Head of Transversal Services.

    We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

    • Significant IT and business/industry work experience, including experience in managing multiple, large, cross-functional projects, and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders.
    • Demonstrable ability to solve complex project problems/issues
    • Excellent communications skills which are adapted to different audiences and can effectively drive consensus within the delivery team(s)
    • Adept at vendor management, both commercially and interpersonally, with a clear understanding of T&M, Managed Services, and Managed Outcome commercial models through both waterfall and agile delivery models
    • Thought leader in implementing best practices with experience leading teams through change
    • Expert knowledge of application development and testing process using various software delivery methods (waterfall, agile, etc.) with a significant background in application development
    • Adaptable to new/different strategies, programs, technologies, practices, cultures, etc. Comfortable with change, able to easily make transitions.
    • Advanced experience / capability in financial forecasting and business case justification
    • Expert knowledge of Scaled Agile methodology and moving teams from Waterfall to Agile
    • Experience in planning and executing multiple complex, large scale initiatives.
    • Excellent presentation, communication (oral & written), and relationship building skills, across all levels of management and customer interaction
    • Builds trust and rapport within and across groups.
    • Ability to work with team members across the globe and across departments
    • Applies in-depth knowledge of business and specialized areas to solve business problems and understand integration challenges and long-term impact creatively and strategically
    • Proven planning and organization skills, creating own work schedules, prioritizing workload, preparing in advance and setting realistic timescales
    • Adaptable to new/different strategies, programs, technologies, practices, cultures, etc. Comfortable with change, able to easily make transitions.

    The U.S. base salary range for this position is $147,000 to $273,000 USD.

    AXA XL is a global Company. The salary range noted above is applicable only for US applicants. Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual's skills, experience and location. We strive for market alignment and internal equity with our colleagues' pay.
